Word of the week #196: 行

The character 行 has two pronunciations. [ㄒㄧㄥˊ] means to go or to walk. [ㄏㄤˊ] means a line or a row. Here is the stroke order animation. Here are the individual steps for writing the character. Here is the evolution of writing 行.

行列 [ㄏㄤˊㄌㄧㄝˋ] – a line or row of people, cars
行動 [ㄒㄧㄥˊ ㄉㄨㄥˋ] – to move, to walk about, to take action
行政 [ㄒㄧㄥˊㄓㄥˋ] – administration
