CNN Outlook Taiwan report on EVA airlines and Hello Kitty

I did not know the proper pronunciation of the airline was E-V-A. I usually hear people say EVA (eevaa). I just call it 長榮. I’m not sure if the Hello Kitty planes are solely to entice travelers from China, even though tourism from China is a major source of revenue for Taiwanese airlines. The Hello Kitty EVA routes show many routes to Japan and China. I think the original Hello Kitty flights launched in 2011 were to Japan. The flights to Shanghai and Hong Kong were added this year, which probably would entice some travelers from China to take those flights.
